Who is Op-Edna?

Op-Edna is an opinionated yet open-minded, left-handed, left-leaning twenty-something female, desperately trying to convince enough people to care about the world they live in and the governments that control it. With the exception of Keith Olbermann, Maureen Dowd, and a handful of other intelligent contemporary journalists, she believes the media repeatedly takes advantage of its influence on the American people. She believes that Al Gore won the 2000 Election, that the war in Iraq was a mistake, and that no presidential election should have its outcome decided by one or two states.

    You think Bush is a douchebag because Bush is a douchebag.

    Keep thinking the way you do and don’t let anyone change you, because some will try.

    Hi OpEdna;

    Question for you. . . what do you think of Presidential Candidate Joe Biden?

    As the Gov. of Delaware, he was great. He has had a long impeccable record in foreign policy (lord knows we that) 20 years experience in the senate, not to mention he appears scandal free.
    Why do you think he has not been thrusted in the fore front by the Democratic Party?

    Well, No Nonsense, while I have nothing but the utmost respect for Biden’s domestic and foreign policy records, I just don’t think he’s a viable enough candidate to have the DNC’s backing, nor do I think he’s “new” enough for a Howard Dean-led DNC. Hillary, Edwards, and Obama are/were newcomers to the Senate, even with their local political experience and Hillary’s tenure as First Lady. Dean is highly in tune with two populations: the Democratic youth, and the Americans wanting extreme change right now. Biden has the sense of humor, the record, the experience… but he lacks the charisma, pizzazz, and revolutionary spirit. While Hillary strikes me as more conservative than Biden on numerous issues, the very idea of her candidacy is radical enough to garner support–or at the very least, interest–from politicos and Americans alike.
